Canceling Your Subscription

Paying plans for the Bulk Product Editor are billed every 30 days through Shopify. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app. This will automatically stop the recurring subscription for the app.

How to cancel your subscription

To cancel your subscription open up the Ablestar Bulk Product Editor app and:

  1. Open the Settings section from the left menu
  2. Click on the How do I cancel my subscription? link in the 'Plan' section of the settings page
  3. Confirm you want to cancel by clicking on the Cancel Subscription button

Once you cancel the subscription you will no longer be billed for the app but the app will continue to store your product edit logs for the usual amount of time. Please contact us if you want a copy of your product edit logs without resubscribing to the app.

Notes on billing

Shopify acts as a billing intermediary between our company, Ablestar LLC, and you, the Shopify merchant. We do not have the ability to charge your credit card directly, but if you're on a paying plan, you will see a line item on your Shopify bill for our app.

The 30-day billing period for our app might not line up with your 30-day billing period with Shopify. This can lead to confusing situations where you see a charge on your invoice after you have canceled your subscription.

Shopify has a more detailed explanation of the billing cycles, but if you have any questions about why you were charged, we're happy to take a look for you and refund the final charge.

Data retention and uninstalling the app

It is also possible to cancel a subscription by uninstalling the app. This is another way to stop any recurring subscriptions but will also cause your product edit logs to be deleted after 48 hours (in keeping with Shopify's data retention policy).

Before uninstalling the app we recommend exporting logs of your edits if they are something you would like to refer to in the future. You can do this from within the app by:

  1. Going to History -> Edit History
  2. Click on the edit you want to export the history for
  3. On the edit detail page, click on Export Log at the top of the page

This will download a CSV that contains each product or variant that was modified, along with its values before and after the edit.
